TOM BATES BIO

Tom Bates of Richfield, Minnesota, was a founding memberof the late 1960s band: An English Sky, along with Mark Escher, Brad Weiss , Frederick Moore and Mark Winger. Bates played guitar and composed songs.

THIS BIO IS A WORK IN PROGRESS The Rumers: L to R: Spandle, Weiss, Escher, Bates, Winger. Tom Bates got married and moved up to northern Minnesota and tried to live off the land.  When that didn’t work, he got a job in the logging business and his wife got a job too.  They had a couple of kids an life got pretty good for them.  He then studied to be a missionary.  When he had completed his missionary training He announced he was selling all his property, and him and his wife were moving to a place in Bloomington for a final year of training before going out on the mission.  He has since been out of touch. Kind of a mystery.
