Now let me tell you a story
About a silly boy
It happens it's just a story
It happens to be
It was after the war
When he came home to his baby
He wasn't shouting for more
'Cause he was crazy
He didn't want no school
He didn't want any jobs
He was such a fool
And he was lazy
Many have come before you
No one will come after you
You will receive eternal grace
You don't need to find a place- here
He read the books of the ages
And he formed ideals
He beleived the old pages
And all that they say
They were true long ago
Before society formed
It might have worked before
But now is today
And so he had no friends
And his girl went away
He'll be happy in the end
'Cause it's "the way"
Many have come before you
No one will come after you
You will receive eternal grace
You don't need to find a place- here
