THE TRUE STORY OF HIGHWAY 81.
Driving home to Minneapolis, Minnesota, we left Southern Kansas at about 2am, and awoke the next morning in a cornfield in Nebraska !
Our driver was told to take the I-35 freeway straight to Minneapolis.
But he drove us through Minneapolis, Kansas on Highway 81, then fell asleep on the steering wheel after dead-ending on a dirt road in a Nebraska cornfield.
It took some time to figure out how to get back home . The stop in the cornfield was 200 miles out of our way.
