When maestro Pete McRae left to untangle himself from varoius recording company and management complications, The Kats became The Nu Kats.
Bobbyzio Moore filled in by playing more Guitar and Keyboards (in addition to Sax and Pecussion), while Dennis Peters bought an 8-String bass guitar and started filling in for Pete's lead guitar parts.
The Nu Kats signed with Rhino Records and
Larry Lee produced their ' Plastic Facts ' record, which is how the Nu Kuts ended up in the book "The Who's Who of Rock and Roll".

The rest of the group eventually dismantled in an attempt (a la McRae) to untangle themselves from varoius recording company and management complications.
(Note: each of the members eventually hooked up together again for future bands...
Boy, BFM, The Kat Club .)
