THE WINTER'S TALE

She wears her hair in a pony-tail
To keep it off of her face
Because she works thru the summertime
Touring across the states

She takes the job every season
Works all the carnival shows
From mid April thru November
Where she goes, he never knows

She could lay-off in Winter Haven
With all the other roustabouts
But she returns to the northland
To stay at his snowbound house

When trees and plants lie dying
Her body's bringing him to life
When all around are hibernating
She keeps him up all thru the night

She is THE WINTER'S TALE

He doesn't mind when she's touring
Variety is the spice of life
He gets a sample every summer
If she does too, then it's all right

Still, they are faithful to each other
When they lie buried in the snow
They stick together thru the winter
Where it will lead, they do not know
